In Acts 3, the crippled man at the temple gate, begged daily for money. When he expectantly reached out to Peter and John, Peter knew that money was something he did not have. He also knew that money was not what this man needed most. Peter simple says to him, “I don’t have money, but what I do have, I give you.” A focus on the here and now would have kept Peter from sharing the hereafter. Instead, he shared what he did have – Jesus. So, I ask myself and you – what is it that you and I have that we can share with others to show the love of Jesus, our Redeeming Savior. When we stop using our lack as an excuse and use the resources we have, we share Jesus with a broken and crippled world which in turns bring glory to our God!
