Jehoshaphat, in 2 Chronicles 20, worshiped God in spite of the impending battle he was facing. Paul & Silas, beaten and thrown in the inner prison for their boldness and faith in God, worshiped God. Neither one of these knew the outcome of the battle. Yet they gave God praise in the middle of their struggles. When we choose to thank God despite the battles of life we are experiencing, the presence of the Lord surrounds us, lifting us out of our doldrums and giving us faith to continue in the journey. Feeling down? Depressed? Overwhelmed? Spend some time in prayer, and then, worship God. God cares for you and wants to walk alongside you.
